Ah, my heart remains close to Somers Point... My husband decided that we should retire there. (Can't afford to retire in OC!)
 

My godmother has lived there all her life, in a house across the street from the bungalow where she grew up. She spends winters in Florida now. We stayed a week with her every summer, always the first week in August, until she began having babies & then switched to a few annual weeks in OC until the family vacation tradition ended. I sometimes stayed an extra week early in the summer when my grandmother visited, Then she retired to AC, so for a few years I was spending a month down the shore, three in AC, one in OC
