Boycott

You know what annoys me? Daniel Ellsberg saying we should boycott Amazon. Of course, he'd say that. I'm not sure why it annoys me, but it does. Maybe it's because I suspect he doesn't own a Kindle.

I really like Ellsberg in general, but he is an ideologue and an ideologue would say something like that. I don't have a kindle, but fwiw, it annoys me too!
 
Effective boycotts are extremely rare; so rare that most suggestions of them are ridiculous. What would happen if America's poor & working class young people boycotted National Guard & Reserve enlistments? It sounds anti-American even to suggest it, yet it would be a very effective protest against the absence of "shared sacrifice" in our war efforts.
