Great Falls Spectacular

So much water is now diverted upstream that the Great Falls in Paterson are mostly rocks on normal flow days. They're better after rains. I've viewed them on those days. But this is spectacular.

Rahway received flooding in its usual spots, but it paled in comparison to Floyd in 1999. That's little solace to the poor souls who are coping with flooded basements.

Residing on Irving St. next to the river (which I miss every day), that flood & the one that destroyed the library were exciting events. In 1999, when the river came over the banks by Hamilton laundry, through St. Marks parking lot, I ran into the bar on the corner & told patrons to move their cars to the art gallery lot, & do it right away. The river flowed around my building, across Irving, & between the buildings on the other side of the street. IT was amazing.
