Joe Lieberman

Let's recall Sen. Joe Lieberman basking in the spotlight at the Republican National Convention.

That is all.

(Not all. Democrats in the next town over kicked out one of their own city council reps because: 1. He was voting with the opposition on important matters. 2. He declined to participate in fundraising activities; the campaign money the party needs to get local Democrats elected. 3. He was still showing up at Democratic committee meetings, where he never said anything; they had reason to suspect he was there to spy. Remind you of anyone?)

I'm so livid, I can't even think straight enough to post on my blog about it. I'm uplifted by the fact that Americans voted for Obama. I also believe that Americans, for the most part, want a more liberal agenda, and plenty dislike Lieberman. The fact that the Democractic party can thumb its nose at those that elected them just pisses me off. Somewhere, down the line, there's hell to pay for this decision.

A tactical retreat. Strategically, it might be a good move for Obama, since he's The Boss now & this is clearly what he wanted. It gets Reid & the other Dem senators off the hook. Joe owes him big time now; we shall see if he returns the favor with loyalty. Fox was deprived of the story, "The Persecution of Lieberman."
