Shana Tova Umetukah

I changed the station on the plastic Sears Silvertone solid state AM radio from WFAN "Let's Go Mets!" to ESPN 1050, & there it will stay through the World Series.

(It isn't a "collectable" radio, never treated it like one, got it for a few bucks at a flea market )

Go Dodgers! I cannot believe my grandson is a Cubs fan, thanks to Rookie of the Year, which he apparently watches all the time because they don't have cable so they watch DVD's over and over. He can practically quote verbatim every line in that movie (as well as others he apparently watches again and again). So, this series, I'm going to teach the little punk how to bet (laughs).

I can barely get ESPN Radio on my car stereo. Too bad, because I always preferred Mike & Mike to the cast at WFAN.

I can take any of the NL teams in the series. Wonderful irony if Joe Torre gets there.

Before ESPN bought that station from the Jewish Forward, I used to fiddle with the car radio to get the call-in talk shows, some crazy liberal with a pipsqueak voice, named Sam, during drive time. Ed Koch had a show there earlier in the afternoon.
