Denville NJ

I'll be on WFMU from 7 to 9 pm tonight, live on web then archived for your anytime pleasure. Expect mostly pop & jazz, but never can tell..

Comments:
First time I caught the live audio stream while your playlist was unreeling - love that Richard Hayman. Very Question Mark and the Mysterians, which was a foramtive influence on my teenagehood.

I happen to be all about the Blue Coal.

I hail from Wilkes-Barre PA and we are very, very proud of the fact that our coal is so far superior to the poor individuals who have nothing but bituminous to talk about. so proud, in fact, that our local radio station call letters were WBAX (We Burn Anthracite Exclusively).

Take that, Appalachia!

I am not anonymous. Let me repeat:

We had a coal furnace when I was a very little kid, so I recall the basement bin & delivery truck; & the long coal trains on the Lehigh Valley line through Roselle Park, & that there were lots of coal chunks littering railroad embankments. My grandmother said there was no loose coal around railroad tracks during the depression - poor people sent their kids with baskets to pick it up.
