Support Ned Lamont

I'm writing Senators Lautenberg & Menendez tonight, urging them to quickly accept the CT primary results & to endorse Ned Lamont as the Democratic candidate. By running as an independent, Joe Lieberman gives his Washington Republican pals exactly what they hope for - a split Democratic vote in November. If Joe wants to be an independent, let him become one now by resigning his Senate committee assignments & submitting a new request to the party of his choice if he desires caucus privileges.

Comments:
I'm with you on this one. I have half a mind to actually register as a Democrat just so I can actually have a legitimate say about how this party responds to Lieberman's Indy bid.

Reid, Schumer & Dodd all announcing support for Lamont on Wednesday, Clinton already on record as supporting winner. Having lost the national party "center," I don't see how Joe can claim to represent it as an independent. He won't be able to raise campaign money except from right wing spoiler groups (like the ones that give money to the Green Party), his best remaining staffers will quit. He may yet drop out.
