Happy Birthday
3 years ago I started this blog. Why?
Maybe if I just copied & pasted political news & commentary
I'd get a big audience.

Ouch. I do see how political blogs get a lot of traffic though, even if it is just regurgitation of facts (or opinions as the case may be).
I'm just not smart enough, or depressed enough, to overanalyze the obvious I suppose.

For my part, I don't think my ego's large enough to care whether or not I get a *big* audience. Or care much what other bloggers do, for that matter.
Happy Blog Birthday! I'm only a little over a week to my one year blogversary. I may be more politically, one issue, topical, but I like your writing style more.
So, I only need about 275 more hits to reach 5,000 my first year. Let's all support Carrie's Bar & Grill (laughs).

Congrats!
Trust me, there are just too many political blogs out there now. Continue to be yourself and be refreshing, and you'll keep gettin' the audience.

Blog on!
I copy and paste stories and comment on them, and except when I am linked from Big Boy Blogs or the New York Times, my traffic averages about 250 people a day.
The traffic to be gained from political blogging, if you are a small potato, isn't as much as you'd think.

My two highest traffic days were when I linked to a story about a giant extinct scorpion,, & somehow this blog rose to a high position on Google searches for hibbertopterus.
